Abstract:	Located at the heart of Groningen's forthcoming museum quarter, Southside New Market (SNM) was originally conceived as an apartment building with retail space at ground level. However, the building was redesigned to create a 1367 m2 restaurant with rooftop terrace overlooking the city's skyline. SNM occupies an entire urban block from the city's main street Poelestraat in the south, to the Nieuwe Markt in the north, which will become the location of the Groninger Forum, a cultural centre due to complete in 2019. SNM war ursprünglich als Wohnhaus mit Verkaufsfläche im Erdgeschoß konzipiert, wurde jedoch umgestaltet, um ein 1.367 m2 großes Restaurant mit Dachterrasse und Ausblick auf die Skyline der Stadt zu entwerfen. Es nimmt einen kompletten Block von der Hauptstraße Poelestraat im Süden bis zum Nieuwe Markt im Norden ein, welcher der Standort für das Kulturzentrum Groninger Forum sein wird und 2019 fertiggestellt sein soll.
