Title:	Design and Construction of Hishow Bridge - Double Layered Arch Bridge.
Abstract:	Im Oktober 1984 wurde in Osaka City im Zuge der Erweiterung des Fußgängerweges Nr. 2 die Hishow-Brücke über den Osaka River fertiggestellt. Es ist eine Fußgängerbrücke mit einer Gesamtlänge von 350 m und einer Nutzbreite von 4 m. Die vorgestellte neuartige Konstruktion des Hauptfeldes hat eine Spannweite von 103,55 m. Die Brücke liegt inmitten eines an Wasser und Bäumen reichen Parks. Umfangreiche Überlegungen waren daher notwendig, um die Brücke gut in die Landschaft einzupassen und gleichzeitig ein neues Wahrzeichen zu schaffen.
