Abstract:	In Algier nähert sich der Rohbau der Großen Moschee von Algerien der Fertigstellung. Die drittgrößte Moschee der Welt erhält das mit einer Bauhöhe von 265 m weltweit höchste Minarett, welches gleichzeitig das höchste Gebäude des afrikanischen Kontinents sein wird. Das architektonische Wahrzeichen bedingte ein Höchstmaß von Anforderungen an die Baumaterialen und die nachhaltige Tragwerksintegrität. Der Entwurf berücksichtigte bereits die im Artikel beschriebenen außergewöhnlichen Bauprozesse der Megabaustelle. Realization of the Great Mosque of Algeria In Algiers, the construction of the Great Mosque of Algeria nears completion. The third largest mosque worldwide will obtain the largest minaret of the world with a height of 265 m, which will be the highest building on the african continent. The architectural landmark required highest demands on sustainability, building materials and structural integrity. The design already respected the exceptional execution process of this mega construction site, as described in this article.
