Abstract:	Es werden Beobachtungen zum Verlauf der Schädigungsakkumulation vorgestellt, die an Ergebnissen von Versuchen zum Ermüdungsverhalten von Brettsperrholz unter Schubbeanspruchung in Scheibenebene gemacht wurden. Hierbei wird der Verlauf der akkumulierten Verformung als Hinweis auf den Verlauf der akkumulierten Schädigung herangezogen. Es wird aufgezeigt, dass die gängige Annahme eines linearen Schädigungsverlaufs für den Großteil der Lebensdauer im Einstufenkollektiv auf der sicheren Seite liegt, dass es jedoch im Bereich kleiner Lastspielzahlen ein kritisches Spektrum gibt, in dem die Sicherheit der Annahme einer linearen Schädigung fragwürdig und daher tiefergehend zu untersuchen ist. Observations on the linearity of damage accumulation in timber construction Based on fatigue tests on cross-laminated timber under in-plane shear loading the damage accumulation behaviour is observed. For this purpose, the accumulated deformation is taken as an indication of the accumulated damage. It is shown that the popular assumption of a linear damage accumulation is on the safe side for most of the fatigue life under invariable loading conditions (such as amplitude and maximum load). For small load cycle numbers, though, a critical spectrum is identified, where the safe application of a linear damage accumulation theory is questionable and needs further investigation.
