Title:	Der verlorene Schalenbau der jungen Sowjetunion (1922-1939) - Systeme. Ingenieure. Politik.
Abstract:	Im Vergleich zu deutschen und französischen Errungenschaften auf dem Gebiet des Schalenbaus sind die Entwicklungen in der frühen Sowjetunion bis auf wenige Publikationen der Fachwelt bisher weitestgehend unbekannt geblieben. Mit dem folgenden Beitrag soll versucht werden, den sowjetischen Schalenbau anhand eines geschichtlichen Rückblicks in den internationalen Kontext einzuordnen. Neben einigen Bauwerken und Ideen sollen auch hinter den Projekten stehende Persönlichkeiten sowie einige einflussgebende politische Zusammenhänge beleuchtet werden. Forgotten shell structures of the young Soviet State (1922-1939). Systems. Engineers. Politics. In comparison to German and French achievements in the field of shell construction, developments in the early Soviet Union, apart from a few publications, are largely unknown to scientific community. With the following contribution, an attempt will be made to insert the Soviet shells into the international context on the basis of a historical retrospective. In addition to a few buildings and ideas, personalities behind the projects as well as some influential political factors will be examined.
