An Verkehrsbauwerken mit nur sehr geringem Alter sind in der Vergangenheit vermehrt Schäden aufgetreten. Ursache ist die hohe Chloridbelastung durch Streusalz/Sole aus dem Winterdienst, welche chloridinduzierte Bewehrungskorrosion hervorruft. Die Instandsetzung resultierender Schäden ist nicht zuletzt aufgrund in der Regel erforderlicher Verkehrssicherungsmaßnahmen sehr kostenintensiv. Immer öfter stellt sich die Frage, welche Maßnahmen zu ergreifen sind, um zum einen Kosten zu reduzieren und zum anderen aber eine hohe Dauerhaftigkeit bei gleichzeitiger Robustheit der Maßnahme sicherzustellen. In diesem Zusammenhang wurden Lebenszykluskostenbetrachtungen für stark chloridbeaufschlagte Bauteile, wie Brückenkappen, Brückenmittelpfeiler, Tunnelnotgehwege, Tunnelinnenwände durchgeführt. Es wurden verschiedene Stahlgüten (konventionelle vs. nichtrostende Bewehrung) und Oberflächenschutzsysteme (OS-System vs. Tiefenhydrophobierung) sowie verschiedene Instandsetzungsvarianten (Erneuerung OS-System vs. Instandsetzung) verglichen. Für eine abschließende Bewertung relevanter Varianten wurden neben den Lebenszykluskosten zusätzlich auch die Themen “Dauerhaftigkeit” sowie “Baupraktische Gesichtspunkte” berücksichtigt.

Life cycle cost considerations for chloride exposed components of bridges and tunnels - Comparison of different repair/maintenance strategies to ensure 100-year durability
In the past, more and more damage has occurred to traffic structures of very low age. The cause is the high chloride load caused by deicing salts (dry/fluid) from winter road clearance services, which causes chloride-induced reinforcement corrosion. The repair of resulting damage is very cost-intensive, not least due to the generally necessary traffic safety measures. More and more often the question arises which possibilities can be taken in order to reduce costs on the one hand and on the other hand to ensure a high durability with simultaneous robustness. In this context, life cycle cost considerations were carried out for components with a high chloride load, such as bridge caps, bridge centre piers, tunnel emergency paths and tunnel inner walls. Different steel grades (conventional vs. corrosion-resistant reinforcement) and surface protection systems (surface protection system vs. water repellant agents) as well as different repair variants (renewal surface protection system vs. repair) were compared. For a final evaluation of relevant variants, in addition to the life cycle costs, the topics “durability” and “practical construction aspects” were also considered.
