Abstract:	Während des zweiten Weltkriegs wurden über Deutschland ca. 1.400.000 t Bomben abgeworfen. Sofern die Gefährdungsabschätzung einen Kontaminationsverdacht bestätigt, muss im Zuge des Räumkonzepts der Gefährdungsbereich bzw. die sichere Entfernung abgeschätzt werden. Für zivile Anwendungsbereiche wie die Kampfmittelräumung ist ein Hilfsmittel wünschenswert, anhand dessen der Gefährdungsbereich bzw. die sichere Entfernung. Außerhalb der ein Gebäude unbeschädigt bleibt, schnell und einfach abgeschätzt werden kann. Die Vorgehensweise zur Entwicklung eines solchen Hilfsmittels wird beispielhaft für oberflächennahe, unterirdische Explosionen mit einer Ladungsmasse von 125 kg TNT, einem trockenen Sand als Baugrund, flachgegründete Gebäude ohne Kellergeschoss und Ladungstiefen von 0,5 bis 2 m vorgestellt. Estimating the safe distance from underground explosions During World War II about 1,400,000 tons of bombs were dropped over Germany. If the hazard assessment confirms a suspicion of contamination, the danger zone or the safe distance must be estimated in the course of the clearing concept. For civilian applications such as clearing of ordnance, a tool is desirable to estimate quickly and easily the hazard area respectively the safe distance outside which a building remains undamaged. The procedure for developing such a tool is exemplified for near-surface, underground explosions with a charge of 125 kg TNT, dry sand as foundation soil and a building with shallow foundation without basement and charge depths of 0.5 to 2 m.
