Title:	Digital Design, Building and Operation of Underground Structures - DAUB Recommendation for BIM in Tunnelling / Digitales Planen, Bauen und Betreiben von Untertagebauten - DAUB-Empfehlung zu BIM im Untertagebau
Abstract:	The digitalisation of many areas of the economy is progressing, also in construction, where the intention is to provide information about built facilities for decision-makers concerning the design, building and operation of construction works in a consistently high quality, easily read and data-based. Until now, digitalisation in construction has been retarded by the high complexity of construction, which should however now rapidly change. The DAUB recommendation “Digital Design, Building and Operation of Underground Structures” is intended to make a contribution in this regard. Recommendations from the German Tunnelling Committee DAUB normally represent “best practice” solutions from German tunnelling. For Building Information Modelling (BIM) in tunnelling, there is not however yet sufficient experience. There have indeed been many solutions on projects but there is a lack of the appropriate standards for systematically applicable industry-wide solutions. The DAUB recommendations show how appropriate standards can be created. The following article discusses selected themes from the DAUB recommendations. Die Digitalisierung vieler Bereiche der Wirtschaft ist im Gange, auch im Bauwesen. Informationen über bauliche Anlagen sollen den Entscheidungsträgern für das Planen, Bauen und Betreiben von Bauwerken schnell, in konsistent hoher Qualität, in leicht lesbarer, datenbasierter Form zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Bisher war die Digitalisierung im Bauwesen wegen der hohen Komplexität im Bauwesen gehemmt, was sich nun aber rasch ändern soll. Die DAUB Empfehlung “Digitales Planen, Bauen und Betreiben von Untertagebauten” soll einen Beitrag dazu leisten. Üblicherweise bilden DAUB Empfehlungen “best practice” Lösungen aus dem deutschen Untertagebau ab. Für das Building Information Modelling (BIM) im Untertagebau gibt es aber noch nicht genügend Erfahrungen. Zwar existieren viele Lösungen aus Projekten, für eine systematisch anwendbare Branchenlösung fehlt es aber aktuell an den entsprechenden Standards. Die DAUB-Empfehlung zeigt auf, wie entsprechende Standards geschaffen werden können. Der nachfolgende Artikel geht auf ausgewählte Themen aus der DAUB-Empfehlung ein.
