Abstract:	Im Rahmen der Risiko- und Lebenszykluskostenbewertungen von Brücken treten neben der Einsturzwahrscheinlichkeit auch Schadensfolgen als Eingangsgrößen auf. Eine der bedeutendsten Schadensfolgen von Brückeneinstürzen sind Todesopfer. Im Rahmen dieses Beitrags werden zunächst bekannte Verfahren vorgestellt, um die sich daraus ergebenden Schadenskosten bzw. die hypothetische Anzahl von Todesopfern abschätzen. Im nächsten Schritt wird ein neues Verfahren entwickelt, welches den aktuellen Stand der Wissenschaft bezüglich der Brückeneinsturzursachen nutzt. Mit diesem Verfahren kann die hypothetische Anzahl der Opfer abhängig von den jeweiligen Verhältnissen an der Brücke bzw. vom Brückentyp geschätzt werden. On the consideration of hypothetical numbers of victims in life cycle cost calculations of bridges In the context of risk or life cycle cost assessments of bridges, damage consequences also occur as input parameters in addition to the probability of collapse. One of the most important damage consequences of bridge collapses are possible fatalities. In the context of this paper, known methods for estimating the potential number of fatalities are presented. In the next step, a new method will be developed which makes use of the current state of science regarding bridge collapses. With this method the number of victims can be estimated depending on the type of bridge.
