Abstract:	Der knapp 120 Jahre alte Saaneviadukt der Eisenbahnstrecke Bern-Neuenburg, ein schweizerisches Baudenkmal von nationaler Bedeutung, wird erneuert und auf Doppelspur ausgebaut. Mit dem Ausbau auf Doppelspur werden, nebst der Instandsetzung der Natursteinviadukte, die Schottertröge auf den Viadukten erneuert und das historische und filigrane Eisenfachwerk der 64 m langen Hauptöffnung über die Saane ersetzt. Wie das historische Vorbild überbrückt die neue Saanequerung die Hauptöffnung zwischen den Flusspfeilern der Natursteinviadukte mit einem Stahlfachwerk, welches neu interpretiert und in Stahl-Betonverbundbauweise erstellt wird. Für den Ersatz der Saanequerung sowie die Erneuerung und den Ausbau auf Doppelspur des gesamten Viadukts darf der Bahnbetrieb während einer fünfwöchigen Totalsperre unterbrochen werden. Deshalb wird die neue Saanequerung vor der Totalsperre in provisorischer Lage auf einem Lehrgerüst erstellt und während der Totalsperre quer eingeschoben. The new bridge over the Saane: modern steel girder for the historic railway viaduct The almost 120-year-old Saanen viaduct on the Berne-Neuchâtel railway line, a Swiss monument of national importance, is being renovated and extended to double track. The extension to double track will involve the repair of the masonry, the renewal of the deck plates on the viaducts and the replacement of the historic thin iron girder of the 64 m long main opening over the Saane. Like the historical bridge, the main opening between the river piers of the masonry viaducts is crossed with a steel girder with modern design and built in steel-concrete composite construction. For the replacement of the bridge over the Saane and the renewal and extension to double track of the entire viaduct, railway traffic may be totally interrupted during five weeks. For this reason, the new bridge over the Saane will be entirely constructed beside the railway viaduct before the total closure and will be transversely moved during the total closure.
