Unterschiede, Beziehungen und Gemeinsamkeiten der Erdbebenkarten nach bisherigem und neuem Nationalen Anhang zum Eurocode 8 - Erdbebenzonenkarte nach DIN EN 1998-1/NA:2011-01 und Karte der spektralen Antwortbodenbeschleunigungen nach E DIN EN 1998-1/NA:2018-10

Abstract:

Differences, relationships and similarities between the earthquake maps according to the previous and the new National Annex to Eurocode 8 - Earthquake zone map according to DIN EN 1998-1/NA:2011-01 and map of spectral response ground accelerations according to E DIN EN 1998-1/NA:2018-10
The map of the spectral elastic response ground accelerations for the draft of the new National Annex to EC 8 (E DIN EN 1998-1/NA:2018-10) has triggered some discussion. These were related to the comparison with the earthquake zone map of the previous National Annex (DIN EN 1998 1/NA:2011-01). Basically, it has to be emphasized that a direct connection between the two maps cannot be established, since they are based on very different parameterizations. In order to provide a factual basis for further discussions, this article compares the basic characteristics of both calculation models, i.e. the earthquake maps of the previous and the new NA. In addition, four variants are presented to show how the two different map types can be related, at least indirectly. For this purpose, basic limitations associated with such relationships are described. As a result, the variants show that they follow a common trend, apart from a few systematic deviations, both to smaller and to larger values.
