Abstract:	Süllkästen sind wasserdichte Stahlkästen, die in das Gewässer eingetaucht und gegen das Uferbauwerk abgedichtet werden. Durch Lenzen der Süllkästen wird das Uferbauwerk örtlich trockengelegt und für eine Inspektion und eine Sanierung zugänglich. Sanierungsmaßnahmen können im Schutz eines Süllkastens mit einer sehr hohen Ausführungsqualität durchgeführt werden, die durch gängige Taucherarbeit nicht zu erreichen ist. Süllkästen wurden durch die Aug. Prien Bauunternehmung für verschiedene Anforderungen entwickelt und erfolgreich eingesetzt. In diesem Beitrag werden verschiedene Einsätze von Süllkästen vorgestellt und auf die damit verbundenen Herausforderungen und Vorzüge der Konstruktion eingegangen. Limped dam for inspection and reconstruction of waterfront structures Limped dams are watertight steel constructions that are open to the quay wall and sealed against it. By draining of the limped dam, the waterfront structure is made accessible for inspection and reconstruction. Reconstruction measures can be carried out in dried conditions with a very high quality of execution, which cannot be achieved, by ordinary diving work. Limped dams were developed and successfully used by the Aug. Prien construction company for various requirements. In this article, various uses of limped dams are presented, and selected design features are discussed.
