Abstract: | Die Schwebefähre an der Eisenbahnhochbrücke Rendsburg versah von Dezember 1913 bis zur Kollision mit einem Frachtschiff im Januar 2016 ihren täglichen Dienst. Die Fähre musste wegen der Kollision neu gebaut werden. Am 4. März 2022 wurde der Ersatzneubau für den Verkehr freigegeben. Die Schwebefähre ist mit der Eisenbahnhochbrücke Rendsburg ein historisches Wahrzeichen und ein Zeugnis deutscher Ingenieurkunst. Rebuilding a new suspension ferry under the railway high bridge at Rendsburg The construction of a new suspension ferry under the railway high bridge was in daily service from December 1913 until its collision with a freighter in January 2016. Because of this collision a new ferry had to be built. On 4th of March 2022 the new suspension ferry is brought into service. This ferry is together with the railway high bridge a historic landmark and an evidence of German engineering. |
