Dauerhafter Schutz vor Korrosion - Glasfaserverbundwerkstoff als Bewehrung von Bodenplatten in Tiefgaragen

Korrosionsschäden bei Parkdecks und Tiefgaragen sind für die Betreiber ein teures und unerfreuliches Dauerthema. Wenn in den Stahlbetonbauteilen Wasser und Luft durch Risse im Beton bis zum Bewehrungsstahl vordringen, beginnt dieser zu korrodieren. Die in fast jedem Parkbauwerk vorhandenen Chlorideinträge, bspw. durch Tausalz im Winter, verstärken und/oder initiieren die Korrosion. Am häufigsten sind Bodenplatten betroffen, da hier eine besonders hohe mechanische Beanspruchung besteht. Konventionell und präventiv werden solche Bauten durch instandhaltungsintensive Oberflächenbeschichtungen vor Korrosionsschäden geschützt. Als langlebige und wirtschaftliche Lösung bietet sich eine Bewehrung aus Glasfaserverbundwerkstoff an. Dieser ist hochfest, chemisch beständig und korrosionsresistent, wodurch hohe Instandhaltungskosten vermieden werden.

Durable protection against corrosion - glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) as reinforcement for raft foundation slabs in underground car parks
Corrosion damage to parking decks and underground garages is an expensive and unpleasant ongoing issue for operators. When water and air penetrate the reinforced concrete components through cracks in the concrete to the reinforcing steel, it begins to corrode. The chloride ingress, which is present in almost every parking structure, e. g. from de-icing salt used in winter, increases and/or initiates this corrosion. Raft foundation slabs are most frequently affected, as they are subjected to particularly high mechanical stress. As a preventive measure, such structures are protected from corrosion by high-maintenance surface coatings. A durable and economical solution is to use glass fiber reinforced polymer reinforcement. This is high-strength, chemically resistant and corrosion-resistant, which avoids avoids high maintenance costs.
