Abstract:	Im Stadtbezirk Berlin-Friedrichshain überquert die Bahntrasse der Berliner Stadtbahn die Holzmarktstraße zwischen den Bahnhöfen Jannowitzbrücke und Hauptbahnhof. Diese Eisenbahnbrücke wird im Zuge des Verkehrsprojektes Schnellbahnverbindung Hannover-Berlin rückgebaut und durch eine neue viergleisige Stahlbrücke ersetzt. Die durch eine anschließende Gleisfelderweiterung extrem unregelmäßige Grundrißgeometrie sowie die Forderung nach durchgehendem zweigleisigem Bahnbetrieb erforderten den durchgängigen Recheneinsatz von der Vermessung des Bestandes über den Entwurf bis zur Fertigung. Das Resultat stellt eine funktionale und gestalterisch einheitliche Brückenkonstruktion dar.
