Abstract:	Für neu zu bauende Spannbetonbrücken mit Kastenquerschnitt wird in Deutschland künftig die Bauweise mit externen Spanngliedern die Regelbauweise sein. Die "Richtlinie für Betonbrücken mit externen Spanngliedern" soll den planenden Stellen Grundlagen für Entwurf und Ausschreibung zur Verfügung stellen. Im folgenden werden die Gründe genannt, die zu der Erstellung dieser Richtlinie führten. Einzelne Regelungen der Richtlinie werden erläutert und begründet.
