Abstract:	Die Verwirklichung jeder neuen guten Idee bildet ein Glied der Fortschrittskette. Der technische Fortschritt ist eine unendliche Kette verwirklichter gezielter oder zufälliger Ideen. Das in dem vorliegenden Beitrag betrachtete Zugstabsystem ist aus der Nostalgie des Bauens mit Gußwerkstoffen geboren. Die Verwirklichung dieser Idee erfolgte aber gezielt auf Funktionalität und Ästhetik. Sie ist das Ergebnis interdisziplinären Kommunikation und Zusammenarbeit und zeigt, wie das Mitwirken von Architekten, Werkstoffachleuten und Bauingenieuren zum Erfolg führen kann.
