Abstract:	Im Juliheft des Jahres 1997 wurde in dieser Zeitschrift über den Entwurf, die Ausschreibung und die Vergabe der neuen Elbebrücke Pirna berichtet. Dieser Beitrag befaßt sich mit der Durchführung der Bauarbeiten und geht auf die Besonderheiten der Konstruktion und der Berechnung der Strombrücke ein. Die in sich verankerte Verbund-Bogenbrücke über die Elbe weist bezüglich der Fertigung und Montage sowie beim Zusammenwirken von Überbau, Bogen und Hilfsabspannungen im Bauzustand einige Besonderheiten auf. Zur Information für die Bürger berichtete die Tagespresse zum Bauablauf und Bautenstand in zahlreichen Beiträgen.
