Abstract:	Zur Zeit ist eine zehnteilige EN-Reihe für den Gesamtbereich des Schutzes und der Instandsetzung von Betonbauteilen in Vorbereitung. Die Normenreihe wird konsequent als Basis für eine ingenieurmäßige Planung und Ausführung erstellt. Als europäisch mandatierte Norm wird sie die Forderungen der Bauproduktenrichtlinie hinsichtlich der "Essential Requirements" erfüllen und die Voraussetzung sein für den Wegfall bestehender "technischer Handelshemmnisse" im EU-Raum. Insgesamt wird dem planenden Ingenieur mit dem neuen europäischen Normenwerk viel Freiheit gewährt, allerdings wird ihm damit auch viel Verantwortung auferlegt.
