9th International Conference on Composite Construction in Steel and Concrete (CCIX)
We have deliberately delayed the decision on the format of the 9th international Conference on Composite Construction in Steel and Concrete as late as is feasibly possible. Looking at the current, unpredictable circumstances concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, we can see that the present state of lockdowns and vaccinations internationally is very variable. Therefore, with great regret we believe that the risk of planning a traditional conference is too high, and that CCIX will have to be held in a virtual format. We have therefore compressed the original programme into 3 days, so the conference will be held as an online event this year from 27 to 29 July.
Through our new programme, we plan to take up the unique character of the previous events and, in addition to an appealing, scientific and professional exchange, offer a varied accompanying programme with extensive networking opportunities. This will allow you to share practical experiences and innovations with your peers easily in an open forum and contribute to the discussion of the latest developments in standardisation, practice and research.

The organising committee of CCIX
The main focus of the conference series is to provide an opportunity for researchers, practitioners and engineers to share and discuss their research, practical experience and innovations related to composite constructions with their peers in an open, international forum. Contributions should include fundamental work that progress the understanding and application of composite construction as well as technological developments and case studies.
One of the principles of the conference series is that it should be a forum where the latest research and case studies are presented. Papers are therefore submitted only a few months before the conference and may be adapted based on the outcome of the discussions during the conference before final publication, which ensures that only the most current work is presented.
