The 2023 Munich course faculty includes 20 technical specialists representing 10 countries.

The exceptional group of international experts provides unparalleled depth and perspective concerning the fundamental requirements for successful grouting and best design and construction practices throughout continental Europe, Scandinavia, the UK, North America and beyond. This unique 4-day course covers pressure grouting as a method to improve geotechnical properties of soils and rock masses, with special focus on mechanisms, theories, and practical applications of grouting to ground densification and strengthening, permeability reduction and groundwater cutoffs. The curriculum is suited for Owners, Regulators, Consultants and Contractors having interest in pressure grouting for a broad array of geo-structural construction and remediation applications. Major course topics include:

  • grouting theories
  • grout materials and rheology
  • geological characterization for grouting works
  • overburden and rock drilling
  • technologies
  • compaction grouting
  • slab jacking, lifting and leveling
  • sinkhole, karst and void grouting
  • permeation and fissure grouting
  • grout curtain design and
  • construction
  • groundwater control
  • grouting for tunnels, shafts and mines
  • anchors and micropiles
  • seepage cutoff walls and composite seepage barriers
  • deep soil mixing
  • jet grouting
  • instrumentation and monitoring

An integral part of this course is the ½ day Field Demonstration. Contractors, manufacturers and suppliers will converge to provide an impressive array of hands-on instruction concerning grouting equipment, materials and procedures.
The curriculum is suited for Owners, Regulators, Consultants and Contractors having interest in the applications of pressure grouting to a broad array of geo-structural construction and remediation techniques.

This is the original and well-known course that has previously been hosted by The University of Texas at Austin, Colorado School of Mines, University of Florida and the Missouri University of Science and Technology.
