75th Anniversary of Klaus Knothe

In his 1967 dissertation Klaus Knothe already concerned himself with finite elements - which would eventually become the core of Computational Mechanics and for which he never lost interest.

Klaus Knothe was born on January 17th, 1937. in Breslau (now Wroclaw) and then grew up in Münchberg/Oberfranken. He recently celebrated his 75th birthday.

He is honoured in the current issue of Stahlbau.
