BMVBS hosts a congress at the trade fair BAU 2011

The Federal Ministry for Transport, Building and Urban Affairs hosts in cooperation with the Munich trade fair, the Bavarian Chamber of Architects and the Bavarian Chamber of Structural Engineers a congress at the beginning of the trade fair on current construction-related questions. The congress will be opened with a keynote speech by Federal Minister Dr. Peter Ramsauer.

Top-notch speakers from Germany and abroad will take position to this year's BAU 2011 theme on sustainable construction. After the congress, the ceremony awarding the 2011 product innovation prize for existing buildings ("Praxis Altbau") will be held. The award is bestowed by a federal study group on renewing existing buildings with the Munich trade fair under the patronage of Federal Minister Dr. Peter Ramsauer. Afterwards, the Federal Ministry for Transport, Building and Urban Affairs invites everyone to join in a Bavarian evening.

Symposium on energy-saving construction

In preparation for EnEV 2012 it is necessary to review and revise the methodological and computational requirements for energetic balancing. Main focus is the balancing method of DIN V 18599. It must be updated such that new technologies like LEDs, cogeneration, heat pumps, etc. are modelled more accurately while simultaneously improving the code's practical application. Various studies are under way to prepare this year's revision of the code. This symposium held by the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs will give insight to the current state of research and provide possibilities for discussion.
