Bridges to Japan - exhibition 14. April - 31. May 2011 - Munich

Bridges to Japan have existed for a long time. 2011 was named the year of friendship between Germany and Japan.

Dedicated to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami on 11 March 2011.

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the signing of a treaty dedicated to amity, commerce and navagation between Prussia and Japan in 1861. In this jubilee year of German-Japanese friendship the university library informs about the history of German-Japanese relations in general as well as the university's German-Japanese cooperations in particular. The displays will include a selection of the library's own books about Japan.
