Major order for North Sea windpark: Bilfinger Berger benefits from renewable energy trend

Bilfinger Berger has recorded another success in the market for offshore windparks in the North Sea: the Group has won an order, together with its Danish partner Per Aarsleff, to build the foundations for 80 offshore turbines at the new DanTysk windpark.

The clients for construction of the windpark, located 70 kilometers west of the North Sea island of Sylt, are energy group Vattenfall and the city of Munich's public utility company. Volume for the order is in the three-digit million range – exact figures are not being disclosed at the request of the client. Once completed, DanTysk will have a capacity of 288 MW. The project includes design, pre-fabrication and installation of the monopiles, which are up to 65 meters in length.
