Series of lectures on "The History of Structural Engineering in Practice and Theory"

In 2010, the VDI working committee on the history of technology is holding a series of lectures at the Deutsches Technikmuseum in Berlin, organized jointly with the working committee on structural engineering and the chair for the history of structural engineering at the BTU Cottbus.

On Thursday, 11.2.2010 at 18.00, Dipl.-Ing. Roland May from the BTU Cottbus will give a lecture on "Shaped Technology" – The Architect Paul Bonatz and Bridge-building. The talk will cover the key stations in Bonatz’s analysis of bridge-building. Particular focus will be on the cooperation with structural engineers and the architect's possible influence on the "heart of civil engineering" (Danielewski).
