The replacement of the building products guideline 89/106/EWG by an ordinance immediately valid in all EU member states has entered a new phase.
On May 25, 2010 the ministers of the Competitiveness Council made a "political agreement" determining the factual contents with regard to the outstanding "common viewpoint" among the member states.
