A key project of the S1 expressway upgrade in Poland is the bypass of Wegierska Górka. In this section, the expressway will run along the Barania Góra massif and pass over viaducts and through two twin tube tunnels, approx. 830 and 1000 m long. Various resins provided by DSI Underground allowed for the safe excavation of the tunnels in critical sections and to cope a collapse in the crown of tunnel TD-2.1.
