In an international competition, the state of Bahia (Brazil) asked the participants to develop ideas for redeveloping Salvador’s inner city stadium "Fonte Nova", which is currently not in operation because of structural problems with the upper tiers. The proposal of the design team consisting of Schulitz Architects (Braunschweig), Setepla (Sao Paulo) and RFR Engineers (Stuttgart) was awarded 1st Prize.
