Herr Prof. Scheurle ist Mitglied der CDU und als beamteter Staatssekretär im Bundesministerium für Verkehr, Bau und Stadtentwicklung zuständig für die Bereiche Eisenbahnpolitik, Luft- und Raumfahrt, Wasserstraßen, Schifffahrt und Straßenverkehr sowie für die Zentralabteilung. Von 1998 bis 2000 war Prof. Scheurle Präsident der Regulierungsbehörde für Telekommunikation und Post. Professor Scheuerle stand für die Mai-Ausgabe des  UnternehmerBrief Bauwirtschaft für ein Interview zur Verfügung.
