Professor Akimitsu Kurita reaches 65

Prof. Dr.-Eng. Akimitsu Kurita, Professor at the Osaka Institute of Technology, celebrated his 65th birthday on 23 August 2011. For more than 30 years Prof. Kurita is engaged in research and practical design of steel composite bridges as well as earthquake and fire engineering.

Beside his enormous research work, Professor Kurita still finds time to relax with his family and especially with his grandchildren as well as with his considerable collection of butterflies. In addition gardening is his passion and also traveling together with his wife to nice and recreative places around the world to visit friends and colleagues. All his German friends and colleagues wish him to this very special birthday all the very best, good health, creativeness and happiness in his personal life for many years to come.
